FAQ

Questions shops actually ask us.

Do you take a cut of my payments?

No. Diver payments settle directly to your own payment account — we never hold your money. Our per-booking fee is billed separately on a monthly invoice, and only for bookings made through Odysseic checkout — never your manual entries.

Do add-ons cost me commission?

No. Checkout add-ons are always pay-on-arrival — the diver settles them with you at the shop. They never go through online payment and never count toward your per-booking fee. It's extra revenue, cleanly.

What happens when I decline a booking request?

Nothing was ever charged — on a request, no payment is taken until you accept. The diver gets a clear, courteous decline email (CC'd to you), and because no money moved, there's nothing to refund.

Can my existing website keep its design?

Yes. The widget is a small snippet you paste in — it inherits your branding, and we'll install it for you during onboarding if you prefer. Or keep your own “Book now” button and point it to our URLs provided in your dashboard.

What about divers who book in a different timezone?

Dive dates are always the local date at your destination, and cancellation deadlines are computed in your destination's timezone — so “3 days before the dive” means the same thing to everyone.

Do I need online payments to go live?

No. Plenty of shops start with pay-on-arrival only — bookings still confirm, policies still apply, emails still go out, and the dashboard runs your day. Connect a payment provider whenever you're ready to take deposits or full payment online.

Which payment providers do you support?

Stripe, Xendit, or any major provider on demand. Funds always settle directly to your own account — tell us what you use in the early-access form and we'll connect it during onboarding.

Can I give partners a referral link?

On Enterprise, yes — each hotel, agent or freelance instructor gets a tracked link, bookings are attributed automatically, and a running ledger tracks commission earned vs paid. They even get a private stats page to check themselves, with no diver details exposed.
